An old fashioned barn out Manilla Creek Road in Putnam County West Virginia is about to fall over. We have received a lot of snow in the past few days and the country side looks like a winter wonderland. As I was driving past this old barn I could not help but stop and get a picture of this icon of rural West Virginia. As we were traveling home from the mountains we see this little church that has been changed into a food and clothing storage for the needy. Although this is a good work it is best to see a church used for it’s intention that is spreading the gospel. You are welcome to use these winter snowy pictures, as you wish as long as you give our site credit.

The snowy winter bridge in this one picture is from the falls of hills creek area. It is a very picturesque setting. The snow covered bridge crosses of the creek where below water is rushing to the 45 foot high waterfall just down the trail. These beautiful old churches in the winter snow are very quaint little churches. Nesteld in the hills and mountains of the Monongahela forest these little churches are an iconic symbol of the days when people truly feared God and worshipped Him in Spirit and truth. The barn has been painted with the traditional mail pouch chewing tobacco colors and is in pretty good shape. Someone must have recently painted this and cleaned it up. These pictures were taken in the winter but the is not much snow in this area as there is on the mountains. You can use these winter pictures as long as you provide us credit for our work.
