<p>During the winter season waterfalls can be especially hard to photograph. The Snow and ice can present some challenges that other scenery does not. In these two winter waterfall examples we see one of the highest waterfalls in West Virginia captured during a downpour of snow. Then we also see the base of the same waterfall a couple years later with snow and ice built up at the bottom. The base of this waterfall was shot with a telescopic lens from a couple hundred feet away.</p>

<p>Two of the most beautiful waterfalls at the falls of hills creek area after a winter snow. The waterfall on top is the 45 foot high waterfall and as you can see it is covered in ice and snow. Although the water is flowing it is hard to see this with so much ice. The second is a close up picture of the 65 foot high waterfall at mid day during the winter. In the background you can see the ice and snow that has stuck to the face of the rock cliff surrounding the waterfall. <p>The waterfalls at Hills Creek are very beautiful. There are three main waterfalls, one is 25 feet high, another is 45 feet high and the last waterfall is about 65 feet high. These waterfalls are very wonderful during the winter season when surrounded by snow and ice. Not many people will hike in the deep snow to see these waters nor are there many who can. The hike is about 1 mile down into the canyon to see all of the waterfalls. You are welcome to use any of these winter snow pictures as long as you give our site credit.</p>
