Whitetail deer are very abundant throughout West Virginia. Here we see some yearling deer that are looking back at me as I take their picture. The momma deer is across the road in the oods looking at me from behind the trees. These deer are very skitish and for good reason, deer season just ended and they are certainly fortunate to have not been harvested this past season. Winter can be hard on wildlife as they have a hard time finding food at times. The owl was caught on camera during a winter blizzard. You can use these winter snow pictures for free as long as you provide us credit for our work.
